Climate resilience and energy sustainability are taking center stage at Jubba Water Supply Co. as we actively scale our transition toward environmental engineering.

To power the production and distribution of over 1.68 million cubic meters of clean water annually, JWS is matching its continuous 1,500 kW generator grid capacity with expanding, high-capacity solar energy plant projects. Relying purely on diesel generators creates vulnerability to fluctuating global fuel markets; by hybridizing our power grid with solar energy, we dramatically stabilize our long-term operational costs.

This balanced power infrastructure guarantees that our 15 deep boreholes keep pumping clean water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This continuous energy strategy ensures that even during peak demand periods or fuel supply line delays, the taps across Kismayo never run dry.
